I love the patches of gray on this earthy colored mugs, and It looks so good on mug adventures like this rocky beach at Hammonasset State Park.
Mug Adventures: The Tarn Pond, Acadia National Park, MaineIf you are cutting it close to sunset and want to squeeze a little more nature time then I highly recommend walking along the Tarn in Acadia National Park. There is parking right by the pond, and you can see the road and how far you need to walk back to your car as you enjoy hopping along the rock path.

Mug Adventures: Wadsworth Falls State Park, ConnecticutI highly recommend taking a picture of the trail map before starting your hike here as there are many colored trails that criss cross a lot. Please note as well that the waterfalls are slightly outside of the park. This is one of the rare instances where they have labeling rather than colored trail markers to tell you when to leave the park and walk down the road to get to the waterfalls.

It's a typical Connecticut hike in that there are lots of trees, rocks, and some water features along the way. The fall colors were great!

I guess I'm a little sentimental about this trail having grown up in the Maryland/Virginia DC area. Plus I loved how nicely this tea bowl looked with these white blazers and earthy Northeast fall foliage. I also can't believe we enjoyed a weekend of 70F weather in the Month of November.

Mug Adventures: Hammonasset Beach State Park, Madison, ConnecticutMy favorite beach in Connecticut so far. Make sure you get out to Meigs Point as that is the more rustic rocky beach where you are even allowed to bring your dog along for a hike. See more images by clicking "read more" button.
Mug Adventures: Reservoir 2 & 3, West Hartford, CTThe great part about these Reservoirs in West Hartford is that it's a pick your own adventure!
I say this because you can choose to walk trails or paved paths. They even have a bicycle lane! If you are going to bike I would encourage you to have a bell on your bike as pedestrians often pass each other by walking into the bicycle lane. Because there are multiple loops that you can choose varying amount of miles that you would want to walk that day. Click read more button to see more pictures! |
