This was a 4 mile out and back trail from the Schoodic Campground to the top of Buck Cove Mountain.

I was so thankful that the road was still open to the top of Cadillac Mountain as we went to Acadia National Park the last weekend in October, and a lot of areas were already closed off for the winter season. Once you drive up to the top of the Mountain their is a large parking area, and you can either walk along the designated path at the top or scamper around on the rocks only. They are trying to maintain a leave not tracy policy, and not allowing people to walk on the fragile vegetation.

The view from Brockway Mountain Lookout was totally breathtaking. If you are not a hiker you will absolutely love this spot because you get to drive up to this amazing view of Copper Harbor, and on a clearer day like we had you can even see Isle Royale off in the distance. And in the other direction you get to enjoy this super dense forest and high up lakes.

The main part of Acadia's Shoreline is along this Oceans Path which stretches from Bar Harbor to Otter Point.

Schoodic Point, which is at the end of the Schoodic Peninsula in Acadia National Park, is my favorite area to go scampering around rocky coast in the park.

Homan's and Emory Path located by the Wild Gardens of Acadia is a nice 1 mile loop if your looking for a short hike.

On our trip to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore we were limited on time so we did a short hike from Miner's Castle Rock down to Miner's Beach.
