Christmas tree or Christmas Cactus?
Last year I started the tradition of adding Christmas tree lights to my Christmas Cactus in lieu of a Christmas tree. I'm still unpacking from the move to Connecticut, but this Christmas Cactus will have it's Christmas lights soon.
What do you think. Does this make me scrooge or a creative person? Regardless I'm so excited my Christmas Cactus survived the move, and it's need for severe pruning and has produced some blooms after all.

5 Year Wedding Anniversary Flowers
Finding joy in the little things like morning coffee out of one of my favorite espresso mugs that I made and kept for myself, and how cheerful my new spider plant is.
Confession: I almost killed all my house plants during my move to Connecticut.

Round Up: 6 Bud Vases with Tulip Flower Arrangements.
Here are a collection of bud vases filled with flowers from my yard. A combination of red and white tulips, hyacinths, and mini daffodils.
Bud vases are the best when grouped.
My favorite thing to do with bud vases is to group several of them together with flowers in them. Images below are a mix of these bud vases in different situations around the home.

3 Reasons I love Daffodils
1. Yellow makes me happy
2. Daffodils multiply well
3. Rodents usually avoid eating the bulbs
Can you tell I'm enjoying growing my own daffodils. Did you know that historically you can identify where an old home stead was by the random growth of daffodils in the woods. The next time you spy daffodils on a hike in the wood go inspect to see if an old home foundation is there.
