Mug Adventures: Buck Cove Mountain, Acadia National Park, MaineThis was a 4 mile out and back trail from the Schoodic Campground to the top of Buck Cove Mountain. I absolutely loved this hike as their was diversity in the types woods and shrubbery, and with my being pregnant I appreciated a more moderate trail.
If you are hoping for views of the Ocean, don't pick this hike. I had expected views from the top of the Buck Cove Mountain, but there were none; even with most of the leaves fallen off of the trees. I was smitten with the section the trail that had these big boulders that had a lots of moss. I also loved all of the earthy colors the plants were turning with the colder fall weather. |
