How to harvest seeds from Daisy and Cone flowers.

11/12/2019

Want a more prolific flower garden?

Then harvest the seeds off of your dead flowers, ie. deadhead your flowers, and plant those seeds in the spring.

Step 1:

Collect deadheaded flower and let them continue to dry.

Step 2:

Remove seeds from flower head by rubbing seeds with your thumb until they fall off.

Note:

If seeds do not come off easily then you can either take more time to let them dry, or fight with the flower and slowly pinch and pluck them off.

Step 3:

Store seeds in a dry location until you are ready to replant them in the spring.

I have also made a video on my youtube channel showing you how to harvest the daisy and cone flowers' seeds.
