Christmas tree or Christmas Cactus?
Last year I started the tradition of adding Christmas tree lights to my Christmas Cactus in lieu of a Christmas tree. I'm still unpacking from the move to Connecticut, but this Christmas Cactus will have it's Christmas lights soon.
What do you think. Does this make me scrooge or a creative person? Regardless I'm so excited my Christmas Cactus survived the move, and it's need for severe pruning and has produced some blooms after all.

I just finished this series of cutting boards and/or serving boards. I love how adding this beautiful live edge black walnut board with hand whittled handle brings the feeling of a coffee shop to the home.
I love the patches of gray on this earthy colored mugs, and It looks so good on mug adventures like this rocky beach at Hammonasset State Park.

Create a kitchen focused on displaying your pottery collection.
We were on a tight budget with this kitchen remodel, and wanted to spend less than $1000 to give it the rustic cottage kitchen feel that we love so much. And let's be honest, I loved exposed shelving to show off my pottery collection.

Mug Adventures: The Tarn Pond, Acadia National Park, Maine
If you are cutting it close to sunset and want to squeeze a little more nature time then I highly recommend walking along the Tarn in Acadia National Park. There is parking right by the pond, and you can see the road and how far you need to walk back to your car as you enjoy hopping along the rock path.
